He has explored 14 states and 10 countries, each with their own unique cultures and experiences. However, his list of dream destinations continues to grow, as he believes that travel broadens our perspectives and enriches our lives. Calvin is truly passionate about Physical Therapy and finds fulfillment in helping others regain their independence, overcome challenges, and live their lives to the fullest.
Dr. Luis Munoz Mercado, PT, DPT, ACSM-CPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Luis Munoz Mercado is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is passionate about helping people move better and live without pain. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Before becoming a physical therapist, Luis gained valuable experience working as a physical therapy aide for four years and as a private studio stretch therapist.
Luis enjoys working with active adults, seniors, post-operative clients, and individuals recovering from neurological conditions, helping them improve mobility, reduce pain, and return to meaningful activities. His approach combines hands-on manual therapy, muscle activation, and ARPWave to identify movement limitations and restore efficient, pain-free movement.
Luis focuses on full-body assessments to find the root cause of dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans. His goal is for every client to leave with greater mobility, less pain, and the knowledge to manage their symptoms and stay active.
Outside the clinic, Luis enjoys golf, intramural basketball, and climbing, and he brings that same passion for movement and performance into the care he provides his clients.
Ely Gudino, ATC
Athletic Trainer, Mobility Specialist
Ely is a Certified Athletic Trainer with a Master of Science of Exercise Science.
Ely has been working with collegiate athletes at San Diego City College since 2022, where her focus is performance enhancement and injury prevention. That background shapes every Mobility Lab session — she understands how the body moves, where it gets stuck, and how to create real, lasting change.
She specializes in low back and neck tension, hip mobility, and injury prevention, using assisted stretching techniques including PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) to build sessions that combine deep stretching with active strengthening. Her goal is simple: you leave feeling noticeably better than when you walked in.
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Ely enjoying the San Diego sun, baking, relaxing with her two cats, and cheering on the Dodgers.d
